The Naked and Famous
Plastic Flowers
it was a sad day indeed when Casiotone for the Painfully Alone ended his long run of lo-fi marvel. However, fear not, step up to the plate the young pretender in the red corner, Plastic Flowers. Sean Earl Beard (I so hope that is actually his real name) has the potential to take over the lo-fi crown. His first single is due for release next month and Drive Me Home is outstanding. He has the ability to imbue a fuzzy-warm feeling like a real fire on a cold winter's night. Definitely one to watch.

Primary 1
Primary 1 is Joe Flory, a British synthpop producer who is making waves with the upcoming release of his début Album. Known for his remixes of the likes of Memory Tapes he is set to be exposed to a mass audience with his tour support slot with Ellie Goulding. He bridges the gap between DIY electronica and synth pop effortlessly and there could be big things on the horizon.

Givers
Givers are like some magic happy bus ride into the stars. They are kind of a cross between Dirty Projectors/a years supply of poppers/Vampire Weekend. It's very happy. Happy happy happy. The feel-good Louisiana quintet are set to follow up their self-titled ep with a full length release very shortly and the world can only be a sunnier place for it.

Avi Buffalo
There seems to be a great scene going on in LA at the moment. Avi Buffalo are set to release their début album in April and then tour it copiously. This four-piece produce music that harks back to the summer of love. Mesmerising, swirling melodies blend into whirling and spiraling sound. In the whole LA movement these guys stand one of the better chances of breaking out onto a larger stage.

Magic Kids
Magic Kids are a warm slice of better times. When families were...erm..families and the sun shone 27 hours every day. These kids are too happy by half and why shouldn't they be. Currently on tour with girls and The Smith Westerns and newly signed to True Panda, expect and incredibly happy album out of them before the end of the year.
