Laura Hocking instantly puts me in mind of the lovely Emmy The Great. She is a mean purveyor of catchy anti-folk under various guises(The last one being Lola and the Clic). Educated at Cambridge uni, she's been writing and gigging since graduating, and fingers crossed for a proper release in the near future.
